Yakima Pursuit Ends in Arrest of 18-Year-Old Female Suspect

A driver was taken into custody Wednesday after taking the Police on a chase on I-82.

Washington State Patrol Troopers were successful in the end by deploying spike strips just west of Yakima. The vehicle exited the highway and ran out of gas, eventually stopping in a dirt field.

The suspect exited the car leading officers on a short foot pursuit.

The 18-year old female was taken into custody and transported to the Benton County Jail for felony eluding.
