18-Year-Old Suspect Arrested in Yakima Homicide
An 18-year-old Yakima man is in custody charged with murder in the shooting death of a family member.
On Wednesday, the Yakima Police Department responded to a 911 call at an address in the 900 block of South 29th Avenue. The caller stated that he killed his stepdad.
Upon arrival, just before 11 pm, officers found a 45-year old man deceased of a single gunshot wound to the head.
Two females and a small child were not harmed at the residence.
The 18-year old suspect was taken into custody and is behind bars at the Yakima County Jail for 2nd Degree Murder.
An autopsy is being scheduled.
