Since 1875, only 288 no-hitters have been thrown in MLB history. I'm sure it'd be hard to count how many have been thrown on performance enhancing drugs. We know there's only one that's been thrown on performance inhibiting drugs. 45 years ago today, Dock Ellis threw fastballs tripping balls en route to a no-hitter, while walking eight batters. Here's to the greatest athletic feat achieved while on LSD.

Hear it in Dock's own words.

Even the late great Robin Williams knew how hard that must be. Caution, strong language.

We tip our hat to the late Dock Ellis. Happy Friday.
