Alcohol + Boating Results in Kennewick Man’s Death

Friends of Jeff Ethredge are mourning his death after he was found dead Sunday morning.

He was boat camping with friends near Sacajawea State Park. People with him remember him waking up to go to the bathroom and not coming back. It is believed he fell in the water and drowned.

Some believe he hopped out of the boat on purpose but on the wrong side and fell into deeper water than what he was prepared for. Alcohol was likely a factor.
