Corey Taylor Joins Steel Panther To Perform ‘Death to All But Metal’ at Download Festival
This year’s Download Festival hosted a ton of great moments, including one of only three performances Black Sabbath are playing this year. One of the other highlights of the fest proved to be when Slipknot / Stone Sour frontman joined Steel Panther onstage for a performance of ‘Death to All But Metal.’
The Download crowd was surprised by the special appearance by Taylor. Steel Panther vocalist Michael Starr yelled, “How many people think Corey should kick the s–t out of Satchel right now?,” as Taylor took the stage.
As the Download crowd chanted “Corey! Corey!,” Starr introduced ‘Death to All But Metal’ while giving the fans some back story on the track. “A lot of people may not know this, but Corey sang on our song — on our first record, ‘Feel the Steel’ — on three songs. The one song he san the most on, we’re gonna do right now with you.”
The crowd ate up the collaboration, singing along with the famed Steel Panther cut. As the song came to an end, the audience chanted Corey’s name as the vocalist walked off stage.
