A pedestrian is lucky to be alive after being ping-ponged off 3 vehicles on the Highway 240-Edison on-ramp late Monday night.

According to Washington State Troopers, the pedestrian, whose name, gender and age were not released, was reportedly weaving and walking in and out of traffic on the westbound onramp to the highway.

WSP says the person was first hit by a 19-year-old teen driver, who will not be cited because the person was out in the roadway intentionally, according to troopers.

Then after being struck, the person walked out there again, and was hit twice. First by a Mercedes Benz and a Chevy Malibu, driven by a 34-year-old woman from Richland and a 32-year-old man from Kennewick respectively. The woman in the Mercedes is said to have been the one who placed the 9-1-1 call, it's possible the others alerted police as well.

WSP says after the first impact, the person ran back into the road, after the second and third impacts, the pedestrian was finally located by EMS crews. They were taken to Kadlec in Richland for evaluation.
