A man was arrested in Tacoma for hitting another car and making an attempt to steal cash and donuts from a gas station. The man claimed the only thing he was high on was the Holy Spirit.

Anthoney Stanley, 28, drove to a gas station, slammed two packages of donuts on the counter and yelled that he needed gas.

The attendant running the register locked it when Stanley said he didn't have cash.

The charges say Stanley hopped over the counter and was throwing things and cursing while trying to open the register.

The charges say that when police asked if Stanley was intoxicated, "He said he is filled with the Holy Spirit and said the officer could draw his blood, but all he would find would be God."

Anthoney Stanley has been charged with attempted robbery, DUI, hit and run, driving with a suspended license as well as not using the required ignition interlock device.
