Repair crews will be out today to clean things up and get traffic flowing again. In a post on the Kennewick Police's Facebook page, here is what they said about the incident:

Officers currently have Southridge Blvd. blocked in both directions between Hildebrand and W. 36th Place.

There is a water main breakage causing several inches of water to pool over the roadway. The City of Kennewick Streets and Water Departments are en route to troubleshoot the issue.

The west side entrance/exits of Trios Hospital are blocked. If you need to get to Trios, access off of Plaza Way.We expect the roadway to be blocked for several hours. Avoid the area. Thank you for your patience!blockquote>

If you are headed that way today, make sure you give yourself plenty of time just in case you get stuck in traffic or turned around by repair crews. You can check out more details on the water breakage and the closure here.
