They're the two hardest hit with the highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases.

According to the latest data Tuesday afternoon from the CDC, Washington state has 708 reported cases, and New York, 669. Both states reporting what's called 'community transmission,' meaning it has been spread from one person to another within the state.

The four states listed as "undetermined" or not sure, but no positives yet include Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming and Missouri.
