Most of us haven’t bought into the whole 2012 apocalypse thing, but with the amount of metal festivals that are being held on cruise ships this winter, we’re starting to think that the metal gods know something we don’t.

Either way, the organizers of Mayhem Fest have confirmed that a metal cruise with bands such as Lamb of God, Machine Head, Anthrax and many others is will set sail from Dec. 7-10. The four days of insanity will begin in Miami, Fla., on Dec. 7, and travel all the way to the Bahamas before heading back to Miami on Dec. 10.

Not only will the aforementioned acts be joined by Hatebreed, Suicide Silence, Gojira, Periphery and many more as they bring the metal onto the high seas, but there will also be full DJ sets from JDevil (Jonathan Davis of Korn) and DJ Starscream (Sid Wilson of Slipknot). Speaking of Slipknot, Shawn “Clown” Crahan will be curating an art exhibit on board the cruise.

Other festivities include a horror film exhibit from Fangoria, comedians, music industry panels, a casino, a burlesque show and meet-and-greets with signings and photo-ops throughout the ship. The cruise will be hosted by metal personality Jose Mangin.

Tickets for this floating batch of awesomeness are set to go on sale Thursday, May 3, at noon EST, with packages starting at $699. Check out the official Mayhem Cruise website here for details.
