Drop the Star is a five-piece American rock band from Tacoma, Washington – all lifelong friends - led by the growling vocals and songwriting of Johnny Reidt - the former lead singer of the popular Seattle rock band, Bathtub Gin, and the founder and frontman of New American Shame.

Johnny Reidt has shared the stage and worked with many of rock’s legends and mega-bands including - Pearl Jam, Kid Rock, The Cult, Buckcherry, Staind, Megadeth, Joan Jett, and Queens of the Stone Age. Johnny Reidt was even on the shortlist to fill in for Brian Johnson of AC/DC in 2016. His experience bleeds all over the stage, giving Drop the Star a purposely raw sound that is a fastball down the middle for fans of rock and roll.

More about Drop the Star

Their sound and music is spreading like wildfire across the PNW and the United States – even globally. All one has to do is listen to hear the influences of AC/DC and Guns N’ Roses; from the stalkiness of ‘Serial Thriller’, the pounding raucous sound of 'Profiteer', and the raging anthem of ‘American Made'.
