With so much happening locally that tests our patience, and causes grief (crime, strikes etc) we need a little joy fix.

Monday night, the Tri-City Dust Devils walked off vs. Boise, on a 9th inning RBI single by Mason House that scored Johnny Homza from 2nd in a 5-4 win upped the Devils to 18-14 in the second half of the NW "A" League season.  More importantly, with 6 games left in regular season, Tri-City added another game cushion over Everett in the race for the post season.

If you watch closely, you can see the ball ricochet off the front of the mound past the pitcher and into center field before Homza slides in under the throw to end the game.

Tri City heads to Vancouver for 3 on the road, then wraps up the 2019 regular season at home with a 3-game series vs. Spokane this Labor Day Weekend at GESA Stadium.

Watch this a few times. There's something very cool about a bunch of young aspiring men who dream of making The Show someday jump around like little kids. (Video courtesy of Tri-City Dust Devils-San Diego Padres).
