Tri-Cities has voted and now we can tell you where the best bowl of soup is...drum roll...please...

Safe Harbor Support Center does its annual Beggars Banquet for the last 20 years and folks vote on several soups, picking out the best one and 2020 has a winner!

Several soups were in the competition but alas only one soup could win the day.

Beggars Banquet brings several businesses soups together where they compete for the best soup with the proceeds helping out Safe Harbor social programs right here in the Tri-Cities.

Safe Harbor provides assistance for families in need and items bought from the money raised include basic hygiene, food, cleaning supplies, diapers, and wipes.

Safe Harbor also runs My Friend's Place, the homeless teen shelter.

Safe Harbor had to do a virtual soup challenge because of COVID-19 but now the results are IN!

The number one soup voted on by the Tri-Cities is...Tumbleweeds!!

Tumbleweeds submitted a Pumpkin soup and Tri-Citians gobbled it up!

Pacific Pasta and Grill came in second with their Tomato Basil Soup and lastly, Magill's Jalapeno Bacon Popper Soup came in third place.

Great places to grab soup like Henry's, Village Bistro and Atomic Ale participated.

Along with the soup competition, Safe Harbor had an online virtual auction.

Congrats again to Tumbleweed's in Richland for the award-winning soup and I'm sure folks will now be asking you for the recipe!

You can check out more details on the great works that Safe Harbor does for our community here and good luck to those competing in 2021
