Best Places to Take Your Kids Fishing in the Tri-Cities
Taking your kids fishing is a great way to spend some quality time, but at the same time you have to take a lot of things into consideration. For instance, you might want a semi-shady spot so your kid doesn't complain about the 3rd degree sunburn the next day. You also got to worry about tick infestation. How many other family's are going to be there (because you know the kids are going to get their fish lines entangled) or simply a place where you can assure your kids they will catch a fish or two? Here are some great places to take your kids in the Tri-Cities area.
Bateman Island
There are a lot of different lots you can set up a fishing spot at, and all the areas are well spread apart so you don't have to worry about your kids and the kids next to you getting their lines tangled. Also there is tons of shade! But stay out of the tall grass, because that's where the ticks like to hang out!
Howard Amon
Howard Amon (Richland) is a huge park, and lots of fish to catch! You don't have to worry about ticks, or about getting baked in the sun!
Columbia Park
It's a beautiful, big park to take the kids fishing!
West Sylvester Street & Road 54
Perfect hidden spot in Pasco to take the kids!
Hood River
Huge place with many places to fish, also there is tons of shade!
Columbia Park Fishing Pond
Great spot to fish if you want to catch some BIG fish. Only problem is there is most likely a lot of people there too!
