DUI Motorist Rolls Vehicle, Then Gets Stuck on Railroad Tracks
The Washington State Patrol continues to investigate a bizarre rollover accident from early Tuesday morning.
Around 2:34AM, about 3 miles west of Prosser on State Route (SR) 22, the unnamed 21-year-old female driver rolled her Jeep off the road, then continued to keep driving through the sagebrush and weeds.
However, she got tangled up and stuck on the adjoining railroad tracks that run close alongside the road west of town.
Her Jeep Cherokee got stuck on the tracks, she is lucky no trains were going by at that time. Trooper Thorson of the WSP says the three-year-old boy in the vehicle with her was not hurt, but taken to Prosser Memorial Hospital for a checkover.
The woman was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical center for injuries, said the WSP, but the extent of them are not known.
Beside probable DUI, the driver is also facing reckless endangerment charges. WSP did say if the woman revealed why she kept driving, and how she got on the tracks and got stuck.
