A Kennewick couple welcomed the first new baby of 2021 at Kadlec Hospital.

It's a new year and a new beginning for one Kennewick couple as they welcomed the first new baby of 2021 at Kadlec. We wait every year to hear about the new babies being born on the first day of the new year and we had to wait until 4:47 AM on New Year's Day before they made their arrival.

The first baby of the new year was Annabelle Rose Martinez. Her time of birth was 4:47 a.m. and she weighed 8 lbs and six ounces and was 20.25 inches. Annabelle's parents are Natalie and Oscar Martinez of Kennewick.

The happy couple had this to say about the New Year arrival and having a baby being the firstborn on New Year's Day

“We are overjoyed with happiness.  We knew her due date was Dec. 31, 2020, but never expected her to be born on the first of the new year.  After the unexpected year that we had in 2020, we are so happy, blessed, and thrilled to begin the first day of this new year with our little girl.  We can’t imagine the new year starting a better way.  Her big sister Elena, can’t wait to meet her."

I'm sure this little girl has a bright future ahead of her and congrats to the whole family, I'm sure Annebelle is going to be a bright star in the future.
