Police Make Arrests in BB Gun Shooting of 5-Year-Old
Kennewick Police now report they've made arrests following an incident that injured a little girl in Kennewick.
The shootings by a BB gun were reported in the 1900 block of West 4th in Kennewick Tuesday afternoon.
At least nine victims and witnesses told Police they had been shot by the gun. According to witness report and some excellent surveillance images, Police were able to see the suspects riding in the back of a truck. The three persons seen in the back of the vehicle were involved, including the one without a shirt who appears to be holding some sort of BB gun pistol.
One of the victims was shot near West 4th and South Vancouver. However thanks to the images, Police now say they've identified all the persons involved, and all have been arrested.
One of the victims was a 5-year-old girl. Her parents said she'd been playing in her front yard when she was struck by at least one pellet. Witnesses said the suspects in the back of the truck reportedly laughed as they fled the scene.
Another victim, a child, sustained several welts from the pellets.
Police have not formally released any information regarding what charges these suspects will face, but it's probably better the Police caught them as opposed to the parents of the children who were hit.
Police say as soon as information and the photos of the suspects were made public, leads and information came pouring in.
More information is expected to be released soon.
