Stone Temple Pilots have moved the release of their ‘Alive in the Windy City‘ DVD and Blu-ray to June 26, which pushes the offering a little closer to their late summer North American tour.

The reunited rockers let the cameras (and we’re talking state-of-the-art, high definition here) roll during their 2010 performance at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre for what turned out to be an electric evening. The 18-song set featured such standouts as ‘Vasoline,’ ‘Interstate Love Song,’ ‘Sex Type Thing,’ and the more recent favorite ‘Between the Lines’ before they wrapped up the evening with ‘Trippin’ on a Hole in a Paper Heart.’

In addition to the hit-filled performance, each of the band members did exclusive interviews for the video piece, which brings the total running time up to 92 minutes. Look for the DVD retailing for $14.98 and the Blu-ray for $19.98 when they hit stores June 26.

With the concert video coming, the group is ready to do what they do best to promote it. They’ve booked a late summer tour beginning Aug. 18 in Pontiac, Mich. that will run into late September. Incidentally, one of the dates is Sept. 4 in Chicago at the Riviera Theatre where they filmed the ‘Alive in the Windy City’ show.

Some of the shows will be dedicated specifically to performing the band’s breakout release, ‘Core,’ in its entirety. Meet-and-greet and VIP packages are currently available for the run. See the full list of dates below the following video.
