I started 97 Rock in October, 1994. Almost exactly 20 years later I've come home to rock you out 3-7 p.m. I was born and raised in Yakima and have been in radio for 31 years. I attended Washington State University, love "Breaking Bad," have a special place in my heart for Pearl Jam and am a proud member of the 12th Man.

Dayton’s Hospitality Is Second to None — All Wheels Weekend Starts Friday
Once for my 40th birthday friends loaned me a convertible Corvette and got me a hotel room in Dayton, Washington. The historic inn was totally authentic and the town is just so damn quaint. Every time I'm there I think, "Why don't I come here more often?" Well, this weekend is a good chance -- it's ALL WHEELS WEEKEND.
Challenge Authority, But Respect the Badge
Because my job is to bring you the most compelling information of the day, I played over the air waves an audio clip of Las Vegas shooter Jerad Miller imitating The Joker to satirize Barack Obama. But aren't I contributing to the glorification of evil instead of focusing on the victims as media are encouraged to do? I'm torn. So here's my attempt to honor the victims.
Watch the Crazy Elevator Gone Out of Control — As Heard on ‘The Bob & Tom Show’
The Otis Elevators headquarters is only one story -- and the carpenter's union building is made of brick! What do they know we don't know? If you heard this hilarious bit on "The Bob & Tom Show" (every morning on 97 Rock from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.) now watch the video of the Chilean escalator that skyrockets 30+ floors out of control:

Today a teenager near Portland shot someone at his school. Monday two teenagers were found shot dead in Kennewick. On Sunday morning two Las Vegas police officers and a Walmart shopper were shot dead. On Friday three Canadian Mounties were shot dead and a man shot three people at Seattle Pacific University. Last week a man shot innocent people at UC Santa Barbara. I'm not that interested in debati

I don't do "playlists." I actually strap on a Walkman and I have 18 radio presets and I go through and find a song I haven't heard in a long time.
Kennewick SWAT Surround Home of Man Threatening Police on Craigslist
Last week a man killed 3 Canadian Mounties and injured 2 more. Yesterday a married couple shot two Las Vegas police officers in a restaurant and then walked across the street to Walmart and shot a third person. So when a Kennewick man made threatening statements on the Tri-Cities Craigslist page recently, Kennewick police responded with a SWAT team this afternoon.

Man Buys Father His Dream Car — a 57 Chevy for His 57th Birthday [VIDEO]
This story was originally posted to Reddit on Friday: "Growing up my dad always dreamed of owning a 57 Chevy Bel-Air. He grew up poor in a family of 7 children. He never thought he would be able to own his dream vehicle but would talk about it all the time. When I was 8 years old I promised him that on his 57th birthday I would buy him a 57 Bel-Air. I never forgot and was able to fulfill my p

Sydney Childers showed up at our event today to win $20 in free gas. I couldn't help but notice her tattoos. Listen to her story:
A Goat Shows Up to 97 Rock’s Free Gas Friday — Why Wouldn’t It? [VIDEO]
Free Gas Friday was in Kennewick today, and we saw some characters. My favorite, however, was the goat. That's right, a goat. You just can't escape the stereotypes.
The Best Things About the Mid Columbia!
Yesterday we shared a visitor's crazy rant against the Tri-Cities. We asked you what you loved about the Tri-Cities and surrounding area and here's what you said:
Aaron Lewis Defends Honor of Female Crowd Surfer at Staind Concert
I love it when rock stars show heart. In the middle of a song (at a recent concert in Kansas City) Staind's Aaron Lewis stops to stick up for a fan.
