Every year there are many tradition's across the United States. The biggest New Years Tradition is that of the disco ball dropping in Times Square in New York City, New York. It started in 1907 ringing in 1908. There were only two years when the ball didn't  drop because of the observation of the war. 1942 and 1943. This was called 'Wartime Blackouts.'  Every year I make sure that a TV is on so I can watch the ball drop. There are other traditions that are held across our great nation on New Years Eve.
