If you are like me, you love the sun. You would love for it to be 85 degrees or 90 all of the time! I am over cold weather. I grew up in it in Wyoming and if I never saw snow again, I would be just fine. However, I do love living in Washington and we do get all seasons in Tri-Cities and Yakima Valley so I will not complain too much! The weather has really stayed super-warm for the last couple of weeks. I love it.
Last night was a night that I will never forget. A7X and Metallica rocked the Century Link in Seattle with Live Nation. But my favorite part was our amazing listeners that got to go on the Wineries Express Tour Bus!
California's Presidio Terrace is an amazing place. When I lived in Sacramento and we would go on a visit to the Bay Area, one of my favorite places to go besides the beach was the drive to Presidio Terrace. It is amazing. The homes there are multimillion-dollar mansions. They truly are remarkable. Famous stars and politicians have lived in that area. It really is quite a sight to see.
I have a goal to see all the lighthouses in the United States and for that matter, everywhere, before I die! I love them. Each one of them tells a story. You would be surprised at some of the history that our lighthouses tell right here in the state of Washington. They are truly incredible. I have seen the lighthouse at Cape Disappointment and it was pretty cool. But, the Grays Harbor Lighthouse at Westport is also amazing.
Yakima is a pretty cool place, but sometimes you just got to pick up and go. So, I went to the beach this weekend for some relaxation and some fun. I got both -- and I some pretty cool sights. One of them was this Seahawks trike.
I have talked to so many people who do not have jobs. They all say that "I can't find one" or "I cannot find one I like" or "I didn't go to college, so they won't hire me" and so on. Well, now that Amazon is hiring more than 1,000 people in one day, these people without jobs might get one.
I have always wanted to own a parrot! They are so cool and very personable. Most of them can do some impressions. However, this parrot is a pro at it. All of them. From being a pirate to a pig. He can even say his name.
I grew up in Wyoming and I considered myself fairly lucky. I mean, there is some of the best hunting and fishing in the world there. Also, Jackson Hole and Yellowstone National Park, as well. We used to go to them all of the time. Until I moved to Washington, I thought Wyoming was the greatest state. Since I have lived in Washington, Wyoming now comes in second.
I most recently went on a crazy road trip across five states. I started in Washington, went through Oregon, Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. Most of that drive on Interstate 84 is nothing but desert. Crazy boring desert. There is also a lot to see -- even in the desert -- but, sometimes when you get a little drowsy from driving and seeing the exact same sagebrush for 700 miles.
That's when you have to stop at a rest area. They are all there to give you a little respite, but some of them are much nicer than others.
