I love old vehicles. When I was young, I used to use my tip money to buy cars. I had a 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger, 1964 1/2 Mustang with a 289, and 1965 and '67 Mustangs -- both with 289s. My favorite was a 1964 1/2 Ford Thunderbird. She was the best.
I had a bunch of other cars, but those were my favorites that I have owned. I always wanted some of the crazy-looking European cars, but I could never afford them. What cost someone a ton of money in 1924 for an Isotta Frashini vehicle is worth its weight in gold now.
Hostess Twinkies are so yummy. They are also kind of bad for you, but it is one of those treats that I must have. When Twinkies decided to shut down at one point, I was like, "Nothing will ever be that good again." Then they opened back up. I have only bought one box of Twinkies since that, but I might have to now that they're making Chocolate Cake Twinkies.
If you are love motorcycles, then you know about this book and its author. Robert Pirsig wrote one of the best books in the world. Best known for "Zen & The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance," Pirsig died this week at the age of 88. I am happy to own this book. I friend of mine gave it to me while we were in Nevada. I am happy to have read it then because the only thing to do in Nevada is gamble, go to strip clubs or read.
This is such sad news. One of my favorite TV actresses, Erin Moran, was found dead in Indiana on Saturday (April 22). She was Richie Cunningham's kid sister, Joanie, on the long-running sitcom, '70s sitcom, "Happy Days." I never missed an episode. Joanie was always my favorite and when Scott Baio entered the scene, I was in heaven.
When I first had my child, my bosses were all pretty amazing. They let me take care of my daughter and still get my job done. It worked. That was then. Some bosses that I have had over the last ten years wouldn't have allowed the same thing. Luckily my child is 28, so I work a lot now anyways.
Amateur Radio Union was formed in 1925 in Paris. They were explorers of the radio waves who actually discovered different parts of the radio spectrum. I love being in radio, and it had to start somewhere. It really did start with amateur radio.
I hate doing taxes. One of the reasons I hate doing taxes is that I end up paying in about as much as one of my paychecks is. I never have enough extra money left over to do anything else after paying my bills, let alone pay my taxes. I always have to make payments to the tax board. But it is what it is.
I used to love skateboarding, but I ripped out my knee doing a half-pipe and changed my mind about doing it. When "Back To The Future II" came out, I thought that the hoverboard might be a pretty good idea. Then I watched people actually riding them. Including Tony Hawk, who is an amazing skateboarder. He didn't even look liked he liked using that thing. So that Idea went out of my head. Now everyone wants one.
