According to the latest reports, at least 7 major fires, and a number of smaller blazes, are being battled in Oregon and Washington.

In fact, the Pacific Northwest has been elevated to the #1 priority in the entire U.S. as far as mobilizing crews, resources and firefighting supplies. Everything from crews, to fire-suppression aircraft, are being sent to our region to battle the blazes.

Record-setting drought has turned an already high fire danger to critical. It also didn't help that much of Eastern Oregon and Washington experienced much higher than usual June temperatures, which dried out many forests and grasslands.
