Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was indicted by a Massachusetts grand jury Thursday morning on first-degree murder charges. Hernandez is the number one suspect in the death of a man who was found near the football star's home.

The grand jury indictment charges Hernandez with the murder of 27-year-old semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd. Lloyd was dating the sister of Hernandez's girlfriend at the time.

In June of 2013, Hernandez pleaded not guilty to weapons charges and to Odin's murder. His lawyers are confident they will clear his name as the case against him is circumstantial, but prosecutors say Hernandez orchestrated Lloyd's murder.

He's being held in jail without bail and could face life in prison if convicted.
