My childhood hero was St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner. I admired him. He was genuine, honest, and in a lot of ways, brave. He was out-spoken on his sometimes unpopular beliefs. The original Tebow.

But what made him an NFL legend was his rise to glory from nothing, and the second ascent after his release. That's what makes him an amazing story, one that 20th Century Fox has purchased the rights to. The two-time NFL MVP is headed for the big screen, and I couldn't be more excited.

It'd be interesting to see if Greg Kinnear is once again cast to play Coach Dick Vermeil, as he did in Invincible. It's unknown when the movie is set to release, but a good guess would be around 2015, when Warner is eligible for the Hall of Fame.
