Hello, my name is Chelsey. I will be 19 in Augest. March 14, 2009 my son Zeflin came into this world. He was born with Bi-lateral cleft lip and palate. His first hours of life he was able to hold his head up and look around the room. Since i was so young and small everyone use to tell me my baby would be small. This upset me terribly and i was determined to prove everyone wrong. Zefy was born 8lbs. 9oz. The most perfect baby anyone could ask for. Doctors warned us becuause of his birthdefect he would have to be tube fed and would be sickly. Little zefy beat all odds and was able to eat from a specialy designed bottle. He was strong and healthy our little fighter. Every friday we took him to Yakima to see the dentist to help prepare for his surgery. Throught my pregnancy i attended Kamiakin High School and finished that year as a 3.7 GPA student. The day little zefy turned 8 weeks old he was taken by S.I.D.S. I miss him so. He stays with me in everything i do. Now im graduating from Kamiakin and i also go to Tritech to become a CNA life has come so far in only a few short years. When he died i knew i wanted to learn to save lives just like his and i deliver my message to everyone , "always remember".
