For-Sale-By-Owner is always scary with automobiles. Is the seller hiding a problem? Does the buyer really have the money? Can either party trust the other? Well, things are going to get a lot worse (learned a local man) when you offer to sell to someone you met in jail!

The Moses Lake man mentioned to his cell mate he needed to sell his car. In jail they agreed to $6,000. Once they were both out of jail, the buyer showed up at the seller's house to go for a test drive.

SURPRISE, SURPRISE the buyer pulled a knife, stabbed him in the chest, tried to strangle him with the seatbelt, revealed his envelope full of money was just scrap paper and stole the car!

He's not the only idiot in this scenario, however, since you can guess who is going back to jail.
