WOODY: As I sit in front of my computer, wearing the new Seahawks hoodie I got for Christmas, at least I'm laughing!

Tri-City officials are happy because the Mid-Columbia Conference will be getting another 3A competitor. Hermiston officials are happy because their athletes won't be living on a bus for 3 weeks out of the year. Hermiston will become the first out-of-state school to ever join the WIAA and compete in Washington sports.

All the necessary pieces appear to be in place, now it's likely just up to the OSAA (Oregon Schools Activities Association) to determine if Hermiston will move North sports-wise and join the Mid Columbia Conference.

In a fan-led vote which surprised even me, WSU has been declared as the best college logo via an elimination bracket on Reddit.

Bob Costas is one of the best sports announcers ever. Costas celebrates his 64th birthday on March 22nd. Costas's delivery on sports may be arguable one of the best in the business. He tells the story, no matter the sport, as if it was a Hallmark card. He brings tears to my eyes with his last sentence.

We had a chance this week to talk with Dr. Richard Jacobs, a former Richland High school alumni, who is one of the participants in the upcoming Concussion Summit being held in Richland by the Kadlec Neurological Resource Center. This important free event is for parents, coaches, medical professionals, and anyone who wants to learn more about this growing issue.
