Whitman College students did their part for their community by raising $48,000 to end child hunger for those in Walla Walla.

Their fundraiser is called "Mr. Whitman" and they raise money for Blue Mountain Council’s Backpack Program. The program gives food directly to children in the Walla Walla valley by putting it in the child's backpack.

This year, the program was able to feed 333 children.
